Slacker, that's me

Okay, so I know I've been slacking on posting to my blog. To all of my two loyal fans out there, I apologize. *sigh* But I've been busy!!! (applause!) I went to a craft fair a few weeks ago and I ended up selling 2 scarves, a headband, a cup cozy, and a hat!! I was extremely excited.

I've been working on a baby blanket for a friend who's going to be having twins in April. I won't show pictures here because I want it to be a surprise (just in case she reads this). But... I'm making two blankets, same pattern, different colors. I think they're going to be fantastic. I've finished one skein and I need to run to the store to stock up on more. I know, I know, I should have bought it all at once. So sue me.

I found some fantastic Noro yarn on clearance and bought three skeins. I absolutely LOVE Noro yarn. Another knitting friend of mine loves it, too. It just so happens that I found this fantastic pattern and I made her a scarf for Christmas. She saw the first part, but doesn't know it's for her. Here's some pictures. I JUST finished it tonight. I love love this pattern. I have a feeling that I'll do it more often. It's a little difficult only because you have to keep track of which rows you're on or it can go to hell in a handbasket quickly!

In addition to that, I've been putting out mittens like crazy! I found my love of mittens. I'm in the process of making some awesome orange mittens for myself. I'm using two strands of Blue Sky Cotton: one in a pumpkin and one in a tangerine. They're working out fantastic. I love how one color will show up and then the next. Plus, they're going to be super soft. Beside the orange mittens, there's a gray and white pair that I'm making.

So... now you've been updated. :)
